Founded by husband-and-wife team Indi and June, Thong Thai Bistro was created with a simple mission: to bring the authentic flavours of Southern Thailand to Singapore while offering the warm hospitality that Thailand is famous for.
Unlike many Thai restaurants that focus on a limited selection of popular dishes, we are passionate about showcasing the rich diversity of Southern Thai cuisine. Our menu features traditional family recipes, fresh seafood, homemade curry pastes, and authentic flavours that reflect the culinary heritage of Southern Thailand.
June was born and raised in Southern Thailand, where food has always been an important part of family life. Growing up in a region known for its vibrant spices, fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and aromatic herbs, she learned traditional cooking techniques and treasured recipes passed down through generations.
After moving to Singapore, June noticed that many diners were familiar with Thai food but had never experienced the unique flavours of authentic Southern Thai cuisine. Together with Indi, she decided to create a restaurant that would introduce Singaporeans and visitors to the dishes she grew up eating at home.
What began as a dream soon became Thong Thai Bistro—a family-run restaurant dedicated to serving genuine Thai food prepared with care, passion, and authenticity.

One of our proudest moments was bringing June’s mother from Thailand to help us prepare our homemade curry pastes, ensuring that the flavours served at Thong Thai Bistro remain true to their roots.
